Job Description

Job Purpose:

Form fact-based strategy options for the Group and Sectors with assessments of the implications and Group 'fit'. Assist in the realization of the strategy by supporting the formation of investment guidelines and capital allocations.

Strategy:

  • Strategy Development and Execution using Balanced Scorecard model).
  • Conduct external and internal Strategic Analysis using effective tools and methodologies and prepare reports for stakeholders when required.
  • Responsible for the communication cascade for the business strategy, objectives, measures and targets, together with associated initiatives
  • Contribute to progress reporting and updating the necessary stakeholders and conducting the associated analysis and interpretation of data through PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Facilitate the process of developing annual Departmental and Functional plan.
  • Development of Departmental Strategic Objectives and KPIs aligned to the business strategy
  • Support the review process for the business strategy and prepare briefings for key stakeholders as required

Finance:

  • Maintain close coordination with the Finance Department for all required inputs related to Strategy Management.
  • Develop High-Level Financial Model for the Corporate Strategy.
  • Financial analysis and interpretation.

Required Skills

Education
• 1st degree from a leading university (Degree in Business Management, Finance and any allied fields of studies)
• Post-graduate qualification in business studies is a plus (e.g. MBA)

Experience(s)
• 6-8 years multi-disciplinary business experience after 1st degree
• 4-6 years’ experience in strategic development activities in a strategy consultancy or in a strategy / planning function with a major corporate

Professional Qualifications or Certifications (from recognized institutions or professional regulation bodies) Required, if any.
• Evidence of care and attention to continuing professional development (e.g. Certified post-graduate studies from leading institutions)

Computer Skill / Proficiency:
• Proficient in M/soft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Communication Skills Required
• Clear concise communicator – written and oral
• Able to present complex ideas in a straightforward, understandable way
• Confidently able to contribute to strategic thinking and discussion
• Can prepare well-presented, attractive presentations and reports
